Staff was great. The stuffed potato was excellent meat wise but the potato was just a bit overcooked. Charming decor. The pie was most excellent especially The Island Pie which is a must with its pecans and coconut.

Best BBQ that I have been able to find between Sulphur Springs and Dallas. Very good brisket, decent sauce. Very good service. I look forward to eating there again. I'll try the catfish next time.

Great place to go eat! Mr Smith knows all about cooking I think the guy could cook the phone book and make it tender and delicious. if you want barbecue forget about the pink pig down here Go to big Smith BBQ Friday Saturday all you can eat beef ribs delicious I mean delicious. Discovered this little gem hidden away on the highway out of town. I was instantly impressed with the smell and the decor. 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the parking lot was steady but not packed. Inside is like a down home bar, dark and inviting, old country playing softly from the speakers. The waitresses were sweet and friendly. Just enough choices on the menu but not too much to make it hard to choose. My husband had the ribs and he was in heaven. I however stuck to my tried and true 3 meat plate. Now, brisket is my favorite but not everyone’s is any good. This was good brisket. Good isn’t even enough to describe it, it was damn good! Tender and juicy and it actually has smoke flavor and fat around the burnt ends. You don’t even need the sauce but it’s pretty stinking good too. You will not be disappointed with this little east Texas roadhouse and we will be back soon.
