I'm not quite sure what to think of this place, definitely a work in progress as other reviewers have mentioned. Friendly service with free samples. The brisket was okay, but too smokey (I would not have previously thought this was possible) but very fatty. The ribs were a bit undercooked, so we passed on those. The beans were very tasty, but apparently of somewhat limited supply. The feral cats were a delightful surprise! I understand the cats are now gone, which was part of the charm for me. I'm not sure how stringent the Hunt County heath codes are for a place like this, but I think passing inspection will be a challenge. I want to like this place, but I probably will not be back. I think I need my BBQ a little more mainstream.

A work in progress for sure, but you can tell owner is a hard worker and is passionate about starting this new business. Me and a friend stopped by here to check it out and he gave us free samples of brisket and it was melt in your mouth delicious. I can't wait to see how this place progresses. Everyone should give this place a chance. There isn't dine in seating just yet, but you can get a to go box. This place can't grow if people dont visit, and people should definately try it out!

Great place that is in the opening stages. This is a passion project for the owner, and the pits are huge, as are the smiles and friendliness.

The BBQ is smoked for 18 hours and tastes yummy. We tried the brisket and ribs, with beans and potato salad for the sides. The BBQ sauce is really good as well if you like peppery sweet (I do).

The donate if the moment is that it isn't really temperature controlled, so seating in the winter may be a bit chilly. This will improve in time as the operation matures I'm sure.

This place is no joke!! Excellent food! The owner there is so kind, helpful, courteous, and he is generous with the portions. He offers you tasting before you even purchase, and pretty generous, I would say with the tasting portion even. I frequent smokehouses a lot, this is in my top 10 best I've ever been to. You can tell he takes much pride in his food. I will definitely be returning. They sell by the pound or half pound, so it's great just to stop in grab the family meal, and take it home, I'll be able to just snack through it all weekend. Five stars on the food for sure.
