Cedar Tree Restaurant

An absolutely awesome place to eat if you like downhome cooking. The food is ALWAYS delicious! The employees are super friendly & do a great job!! We drive well over an hour just to go eat here. Would highly recommend. A+++

I didn't actually eat here, but I did stop in for a couple drinks because my ride was late picking me up after I dropped my car off at the shop. They were very polite and it was very clean and the whole place smelled of good food. If I hadn't already eaten, I totally would've grabbed a plate.

Last time I visited here they were still in the old building! That's been awhile!! The new place (to me anyway) is still very good! The waitress was very outgoing and friendly, and got us seated right away. It wasn't very crowded at all and it was a little after 6pm. They have a very good menu, but my wife and I opted for the buffet. Our little one who is six chose to get a cheese burger off of the menu with fries. He really loved it and said it was very good. The buffet had fried catfish, chicken fried steak, beef stew, kernel corn, greens, fried mushrooms, sweet potatoes, green beans, and dinner rolls. The other side of the buffet was a salad bar and my wife said it was very good with many items to choose from for your salad. They also had a variety of dessert items on the buffet, pies, and cakes. We had a very good experience and will be going back

The food was excellent, wasn't anything we didn't like. Service was great, the staff were all very nice. The decor was nice. Overall a great experience. My husband said "I would drive here for this." We don't live in Jasper, or even Texas. So, high praise. Will definitely stop in again next time we go through.

Nice, clean restaurant. Only all you can eat buffet on Sundays, so didn't see menu. Food was well prepared, but essentially unseasoned. Nice selections on salad bar. Entree section had fish, beef, & chicken choices. Only 1 non-starch vegetable available on entree side. Variety of cakes, pies, cobbler, pudding, & ice cream available in dessert section. Friendly, attentive staff.
