Love Abbie's! Great food, great rare grocery items.
Great food extremely sanitary and very nice people... I recommend the Gyro sandwich..
WOW. Amazing gyro. I picked one up for lunch and it was almost too much for me... almost. You owe it to yourself to give Abbie's Import a try. Parking is kind of limited as well as seating, so you can call in order for the office and pick up. 10% Lamar student discount.
I used to come here very often. My life circumstances have since changed, but I've been meaning to come back. The owners and the employees are all very nice and helpful. I love this place because it has a lot of Greek foods and goodies, such as very delicious gyros. I myself am of Greek heritage, and authentic Greek food is difficult to find around here, so of course I'm fascinated. They also have items that are hard to come by in regular grocery stores (Abbie's is a deli/store) such as rooibos tea, organic and raw honey in a glass jar, and so much more that comes from Greece and surrounding countries. It's a very unique place. I just wish they would extend their operating hours.
I had no idea this place was here. 19th Anniversary on August 1st. Did not know what to expect when I walked in being a first-time customer. The food is amazing. The prices were so inexpensive that we wanted to order more but we knew we would not be able to finish eating it. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a traditional Mediterranean Deli Style Food. They also have a market that is attached where you can buy even more traditional items. Coffee 1.00 Tea .25 all different types of deserts. I paid 1.25 for mine. I appreciate the culture it brings to this area. A very delicious place to get something to eat and then go relax at Tyrell Park or have a picnic.
