I suppose that all IHOPs are mostly the same, but I had not been to one in probably 30 years. Even so, IHOP was not my first choice for a breakfast restaurant, but IHOP was the only place close by and I expected that it would be relatively quick.
This restaurant is so mediocre, it's depressing. The coffee is just barely passable. The large glass of orange juice is really a medium orange juice with more water added to it. I wasn't even sure this weak mixture originated from real oranges. At the end of the glass, I saw some pulp, so I guess that it was "real". I found the menu to be uninspiring. This is not the way I want to start my day. To their credit, they post calorie information, but the high numbers looked more like a badge of honor than an advisory.
I ordered the Harvest Grain 'N' Nut pancakes, which were actually pretty good. Also, the service was fine--quite speedy.
So, the close and quick criteria were satisfied but with that said, in the future I will look for other options even if I have to drive a little farther or visit a restaurant with slower service. I guess it all depends on how much of a hurry you are in and what the options are.
Ate here today. Our server was NaeNae and she was courteous and quick with getting us coffee (and keeping the pot full too) and taking our order. The Colorado omelette was very good. The manager (Alvin) even came and checked on how we were doing and that was appreciated. Great service and really tasty food. Thanks!
Stopped by on a Thursday afternoon to try the 'huge omelets' that are advertised on television. They have a BOGO special from 3 to 6 p.m. but you have to buy two drinks. I got two coffees for $2.59 each. There are 10 omelettes that come with unlimited pancakes with prices ranging from $9.79 to $9.99 including the steak omelette which I had. It was as seen on TV and as described on the restaurant poster.... Large! There is a lot of food that comes with this meal. You may end up taking food home with you. The the wait staff was friendly. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. I have no hesitation about recommending the restaurant and its omelettes.
Making myself happy from a hard day. David and Evelyn, two employees, are helping with that. Their customer service is outstanding. God bless them both. Will definitely return next time I need a frown turned upside down.
