Country Kitchen and Bakery

Single person yearning for home cooked meal. Perfect. Food is great and prices are very reasonable. Enjoyed and will be my go to place from now on. Nice people and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

We were traveling through town about noon and saw Country Kitchen. We stopped and we were so glad we did! Food very good with many choices. Prices very reasonable and wait staff very friendly and helpful. Would stop again if in this area.

Saw this place as we were driving by about dinner time. Looks as if has been there a while. It was still a bit early for dinner, so it was not crowded at all. Waitress got our order promptly and lemonade right away. I had the chicken fried steak (half order) with salad and mashed potatoes. It was great! Crispy coating, not at all greasy as CFS so often is. Seemed to has some corn in the coating. The half order was plenty.
My wife was not as hungry, so she had the roast beef sandwich. A couple of thick tender slices of beef in the sandwich. Also great.
Next time we pass through we'll need to try more of their menu. Highly recommended.

We came here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. I had the jam and cheese omelette which were huge and full of ham and cheese. Perfect. My SO ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. There was so much food! The waitresses were exceptionally attentive and expedient. The food was quick even with a full restaurant. I ordered another ham and cheese omelette for my neighbor. She is elderly and doesn't eat a lot but she ate all of this in 2 days! When she said that I said, "It was just that good huh?" and she replied "It was just that good." We will be going back!

Great lunch special. I had the chicken fried steak, and also a slice of buttermilk pie. It was very good. The staff was sweet and attentive. Southern hospitality and comfort food!
