(February 18, 2020, 7:04 pm)City Meat Market is a delicious BBQ joint in Giddings. It’s right in the center of the town and in an old meat market. I got the pork shoulder and a pork rib which were both delicious. The potato salad was also really good. Gotta stop here if you are just driving through or take a trip from Austin (or wherever) for some good southern hospitality and great BBQ. Now all I need is a nap!

(December 23, 2019, 10:56 pm)Meat pulled straight from the pit and slapped on a proper plate (brown butcher paper). Hands down the best BBQ sauce anywhere, ever! One of my favorites places for almost 40 years and the ordering line that weaves through the pit area hasn't changed yet.

(December 14, 2018, 2:01 am)Great BBQ! This place is one of my favorites in the central TEXAS area! The food is priced right, it tastes great, and the service is top notch! The are always friendly and accommodating. They really hustle to get you taken care of. I often pick up large amounts of bbq to take to customers in the area. They love it when I show up with bbq from City Meat Market!
