It was OK. The food was served hot, fast, and was ok. The service was wonderful. The women were polite, made me feel right at home, and asked me to come back. I will. Let me try something else this time, however.

The restaurant food is good. The beans in a breakfast plate need some work, too watery.

Great food for a great price! Becoming regular customers because of how good and fast the food is. The tables are clean, atmosphere welcoming and friendly staff. Always look for the specials, they offer great deals! Usually around $5-8 per plate. Slightly difficult to find, next door to the subway.

This is a great place to eat. They keep a neat and clean kitchen. Good seating for one or the whole family.

El Paisano is one of the better Mexican restaurants in Lubbock, probably on my top 3 list right now. The restaurant is clean, the prices were low and the service was great. I have eaten there twice now and left totally satisfied on both occasions. The food is a bit more traditional Mexican style (Chihuahuan) than tex-mex. The complimentary chile (salsa) and chips are excellent, very hot and flavorful. The chilequiles (chopped enchiladas) and barbacoa (shredded beef) are both very well prepared. The beans and potatoes are also very enjoyable. The only thing I have found I didn't like was the rice. It didn't have enough seasoning to be really savory and too much to have the fresh taste of plain white rice.
