Chilito's Pepper Cafe

one of my favorite places to go and the food is always amazing AT Chilito's - to-go leaves something to be desired with some dishes. there's not the same attention to detail and quality it seems. right now they are having staffing issues so service can be slow at times, but it is well worth the wait.

If you love authentic Mexican food with a level of a true chefs touch. This is by far the best I have ever tasted in all of Lubbock including Lubbocks top 10 they ain't got nothing on this guys cuisine. I had to tip the chef that's how impressed I was. The tilapia was a dish that I highly recommend.

I've eaten take away from here twice and neither time have I been disappointed! I ordered the smother burrito with refried beans and rice and just wow! You can definitely judge a good Mexican restaurant by the beans and rice alone and theirs is some of the best in town!

Went for a late lunch after they had been slammed by a huge crowd and still received great service! Salsa & chips are delicious, as is the food. Ordered the Monterey plate and it was wonderful. Generous portions too. The sopapillas are a MUST!! Will be eating here regularly!

We went on a Thursday and they had live music. The food was amazing! Our first time here and my husband said we're making this one of our regular spots! Make sure to ask for red salt for your chips! Everyone was super friendly. 👌 They don't sell alcohol yet but they may allow byob not sure. Definitely was a good place for dinner!
