Victorian's Barbecue

Went from a close second favorite to first favorite. For many reasons first the brisket is very flavorable and not dry. Second I do not like potato salad at all I find it nasty but their potatoe salad is amazing. Thirdly the ribs are so good very moist but not to moist and a big taste profile. And last but not least they are just about the kindest two people you could meet it's nice to have bbq that can compare to back home.

I have yet to experience the delicious food here; however, I can speak about the owner and pitmaster.

I jokingly told him I got accepted as an apprentice to a famous pitmaster, and out of all the BBQ enthusiasts I know, Joey was the most supportive. (I felt terrible saying, “April Fool’s!”)

Find him at the rodeo cookout. Find him serving the essential workers in town. Find him building up and supporting the BBQ community. Whatever you do, just find him.

Visited friends in Houston and wanted good Texas BBQ as us in Chicago lack decent BBQ to say the least. Everything was great and the seasoning on that Tri-Tip.... as Denzel Washington would say.... My Man!

So this is a must try place. Just experienced the spicy sticky ribs and the potato salad. First I will say that I tend to like my ribs naked, just let me enjoy the meat but he had me at spicy. These ribs are sticky but not too sticky, sweet but not too sweet and spicy but just the perfect amount. They where outstanding. The meat was juicy and tender. Outstanding! The potato salad was your standard Texas mustard style with a sprinkle of Adobo seasoning. It was good as well.

Some things that I would like to recommend to the owner is we need to ability to order by the 1/4 or 1/2 pound. Yes some items are available in a 1/2 pound but if you are just one person and want to sample their offerings make sure to bring a big wallet and a cooler as they will not let you get smaller portions. Would have loved to spent more $ and tried more things but I can not afford to spend $22 on a pound brisket for just me for lunch. If I could have ordered 1/4 portions of several things I would have giving this place 5 stars.

Keep up the good work. I will have to try out more.

If it wasn't for Houston Life Show on Channel 2 I will never be able to find this place or know about this place! I spent $85 for four people when it comes to brisket it's way too pricey I know they take a long time to cook it but the brisket is delicious if you want it lean and be very lean and tasty if its moist boy talking about perfect and delicious brisket but I don't think it should be $22 a pound it's way too much compared to Pappas BBQ and Spring Creek BBQ & Damaris BBQ is my first time to pay such a high price BBQ brisket I originally wanted to come to try the tri steak beef brisket BBQ but they ran out very fast if anybody wants to try that which is the same price as the brisket if I was y'all I will go earlier and unfortunately it's only on Saturdays they serve that! You do have to stand in this line I hate to go there when it's raining because if you stand in this line you'll get soaking wet and if you want to spend your time eating ribs or sausage or your brisket meal there's three patio table you can only use! They do have can sodas and potato chips. They use Italian company to supply the meat from College Station. But I know one thing I don't like the white bread because it's a little too hard not fresh! They add a little spice on the churros Bean but I also noticed it is not homemade they use Bush can brand beans and adds ingredients into it but that stays very good:-)! Cannot comment about the corn because they ran out but the potato salad is good I like it alot :-)! For me this place is a little too pricey with no air conditioning or fans especially you have to eat outdoors and in the winter time it'll be too cold because there will be no heater but they do have this huge 2 big BBQ Pit I ever saw it is an interesting place :-)! Very laid-back Country Place :-)! I did not see no public bathroom anywhere :-(! There was bugs getting onto my food not because of the restaurants fault but that's Mother Nature because when the fly come over or the black bug I had on my platterand tree seeds landing on my food talking about just like having a picnic outdoor in the woods! I just had this cute little experience where the ladybugs scared that they allow me because I thought it was a wasp flying all over until it's landed on my clothes it did not want to go away but it was amazing moments I love ladybugs :-)! There is a wonderful sweet cashier who did try to take excellent care of us and because of that I wanted to give her a tip they do accept tips there's only three employees in this trucks food stop to take your order and to fill your order they are all friendly :-)! One of them was the chef the other one is the owner name Joey and a very nice lady is the other one. I hope that they will get enough business that would they would open a restaurant where everybody can enjoy and feel comfortable:-)! Their menu is written on the paper but I was surprised it was no dessert like they advertised on Houston Life Show! I hope that y'all enjoy your meals :-)! Have a great day now :-)! I do want to say they don't have a disable sign or have a designated disabled parking but you can park there but it will be hard for anybody that's on the wheelchair to get up that ramp because there is no way you can get up there unless you can step on it because it is a stepping stair :-(!
