Sweet little place for down home food. Everyone is friendly. Food is good. Can't go wrong stopping by here for a bite to eat!

This place consistently has good food and good service. The staff is friendly and the lunch special allows you to get in and out quickly. The club sandwich is pretty good.

This review pertains primarily to the fried chicken buffet they host every Wednesday. If you want some great, old fashioned, fantastic fried chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy, look no further than Charlie's II *only* on Wednesdays. Get there early for lunch, or you may have to wait for new batches to be brought out. It is not an "all-you-can-eat" buffet. It's "one-trip only", so everyone pretty much piles their plates up too high, but you won't find better fried chicken anywhere that I know of, in all of South or South-Central Texas on a Wednesday. I always feel like they should spend a little more time in general cleanliness, but it's kind of a small town dive, if you will, so it is what it is. You just dive in and enjoy your down-home fried chicken plate for about eight bucks. They always have great, sweet (or unsweet) iced tea too. Can't wait for Wednesday! ????
