Cotton Patch Cafe

We went here and Denis gave us the most amazing service ever. I could not have imagines a better dining experience. We tipped over twice the bill and they were simply out of gravy and they comped us 30 dollars. The food was delicious at a great price. However we went again and this time Edward was our server. I'm not sure if he was trying to be rude or just bored or just didn't like us but out service was horrible. I ordered a coke but was served like cherry Dr pepper or something. Then I ordered the samon and was given like grilled chicken or something. My boyfriends food came out cold. The server went and got the manager and she comped our entire meal. She apologized so much and remembered us from last time. We actually left super happy.
Definitely going back because of Denis, the food, and the manager. This place is great.

We have been coming here periodically over the last ten years. Same good quality food as always BUT in much smaller portions. Apparently, the pandemic took its toll. Same long lines at the most popular hours, but the staff got us to a table asap. They estimated 42 minute wait, but got to us in 20-30. It is probably better to go somewhere else during rush hours unless you have time and money to burn.

I ordered food from door dash but no delivery was made. I then called cotton patch and explained to Sara the manager what happened...omg to my surprise she made it right got the food finished to perfection and personally delivered it to my apartment amazing service food at people that work there! Thank you.

I want to start my review with a quick statement. If you've been here before and have had some kind of bad experience with the food or with the staff, then you must have been somewhere else!! My wife and I stopped by to have lunch because we're new to Midland Texas and have passed by the Cotton Patch Cafe long enough to finally give it a shot, and let me tell you we were very happy that we did.. The Hostess sat us down very quickly and our server ' Sayra ' greeted us, took the drink order and then brought them back along with these amazing warm and fresh Homemade house dinner rolls!! The rolls reminded of a famous old school (Parker House Roll). Anyway, I ordered a Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries and my wife ordered a the Patty Melt with Fries. Now. My chicken sandwich HANDS DOWN was the best I've ever had and if you ever put it up against Popeye's, Wendy's, or KFC, this sandwich would slap them down to a " go back and learn something level!!" Yes, it truly was just that good. The Patty Melt my wife ordered was next level as well, with a hand formed patty, juicy caramelized onions and melted swiss cheese, all on toasted bread. That Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich is a perfectly breaded chicken breast laid on top of a bed of pickles and Bacon Mayo, along with this toasted buttered bun!!! The fries were perfectly cooked and the appetizer of deep fried pickles were some of the best I had in my travels around the country. Ask for a side of Bacon Mayo, that stuff is good on everything 😋
