You GOTTA try this place!! WOW. Small town boy from South Louisiana. Never thought I would find this kind of food in Midland. REAL food. Plate lunch style. Just like Mama used to make it. Wide variety on the menu. Really, you gotta try this place!

First time going there and let me say I was blown away by the food, the staff that was working were very nice and friendly, the environment was welcoming, everything was fresh and hot, I got the fried catfish and it was probably the best I’ve tasted so far living in midland, the sides I recommend are the trio of greens, fried cabbage and the candied yams, I’m definitely going again sometime next week to try out more of the items they have. Before and after pics to show how good everything I got was. I definitely recommend coming here if you want to eat great food.

Easily one of the best restaurants in Midland, definitely in my top 10. So far we have tried a good few things off of the menu and it's enough to make us want to try everything they have to offer. Everything is always so fresh, and made with love. I hope to see this business continue to thrive 💙

Wow didn’t know about this place but this for sure takes the top spot of Soul food in Midland Texas. Nice little hidden gem. I took pictures this time before I absolutely massacred their food.

Saw the reviews, was excited, optimistic, ready for a good meal.. but what the fuuuuuu*#!! I cannot recall a more enjoyable first bite.. IN MY LIFE! The fried catfish transported me to a new dimension. Flavorful, beautiful mix of spices, truly perfection to my taste buds. The fish itself was sublime and the kicker? It wasn’t greasy! I was simply in awe the entire time.

The staff were also really friendly and helpful with me as I asked for recommendations. Such a warm and comforting vibe from the staff in general.

I hope.. HOPE!.. that one day I can experience this gem once again, but if I can’t, I will make it my life’s mission to tell everyone in my life to travel to Midland, with the sole purpose of eating here. If you’re still reading this, stop reading and go eat here, it will not disappoint.
