The brisket is very good and not fatty. The sauce is nice and not spicy. I got a brisket sandwich and was very pleased that the bread was not only tasty but it held up well to the meat and sauce. We are so coming back. Thanks for being excellent.

Yet again we enjoyed fabulous BBQ that was done to perfection. I think my favorite is the sausage but we all thoroughly enjoyed the burnt ends and turkey as well. The owner is a great guy and we highly recommend supporting him. We unfortunately never leave enough room to try the cobbler.

Incredible BBQ! Everything is great here. This is BBQ on another level. I got the burnt tips sandwich and drizzled some of the BBQ sauce on it then dipped some sausage in the sauce too. Mac and cheese is delicious. I brought my family on a Sunday when it was busy and the environment at Deacon Baldy's was cool with nice dogs on leashes and kids enjoying the space too.

BBQ Godfather is now at Deacon Baldy's Bar and Food Truck space on FM 1488 in Magnolia.

    My post from 2016:
BBQ Godfather recently relocated their food truck operation to Bernie's Backyard in Spring, TX. The special on this day was their Pork Belly BLT, so we ordered one, plus a pound of brisket and three spareribs to share, and a side of their Bacon Mac 'n Cheese. Visually, the Pork Belly BLT was a nice composition. We had a little trouble with the texture of the pork belly, which we anticipated would have that balance of fat and crispiness you find on a perfectly-seared piece. This was a little dry and tough, and both smoke and seasoning was a bit lacking. As an overall sandwich though, it has potential. Ribs were good, and I found the brisket to be decent as well. As thick as the slices were, it could have used some additional time on the pit to break down connective tissue. The flavor penetration, from rub or smoke, wasn't quite there either. But it was a beautiful cut and I will definitely be back to give this brisket another chance.

Excellent service and quality meat. The owner/employees where great! My absolute favorite bbq meat is usually throw away (burnt ends) and they sell theirs. Some of the best I’ve ever had! Def have to try this place.
