I was really taken aback by the bigoted words the smaller white woman with reddish blonde hair (not the one who has had purple hair in the past - she's great!) said to me regarding the latino population here in New Caney. I guess she thought that it was okay since I am a white woman? A Hispanic man was checking out in front of me, and didn't say much at all to her. So it seemed pretty random and unprovoked.
When it was my turn She grumbled and I asked "bad day?" She told me that she must be living in the wrong town because it's like "Little Mexico" and that it's like she doesn't even live in Texas anymore! That having so many Latin people here just makes her skin crawl.
I just nodded and my face was screaming "are you serious right now?" Paid and left. But it really did leave me sad and disappointed! She has various culturally different coworkers! If she's willing to say that kind of stuff to a stranger, how is she treating her coworkers and customers of color?? I normally wouldn't say anything, mind my own business - but this really did strike a nerve and I just can't responsibly withhold my experience.

I have been in this store several times. It is always clean and we'll stocked. Staff is courteous and there is usually no wait to check out
