Bao's Cafe

Easily the best Chinese east of I-45. I have been ordering from them for years and the quality of food never disappoints. They also have some dishes that most other Chinese do not. The Szechuan Eggplant is the best, as well as their General Chicken.

The best shrimp fried rice in this area. My kids love it.

A great go to when we want some good food fast.

Good fresh food! Some 'chef specialty' entrees are kinda pricey though and not large portioned for what you pay (General Tso's chicken for instance). The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice and the place is clean. Finding parking spots during the evening is sometimes challenging as this restuarant sits inside a crazy busy HEB parking lot. That being said it is still one of my go to places for dishes like lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken and they have some of the best fried rice in the area!

Great local Chinese restaurant. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly. My only gripe is that the music playing was way to relaxed and it was so low that you could hear everyone's conversations throughout the whole restaurant. Because of that it made the atmosphere very awkward. Also there was not enough drink options.
