My Fiance and I have been to Dolce Niente four times and I have to say, we love the food and overall atmosphere of this very nice Italian restaurant. I have hosted a family Birthday at Dolce Niente and the service was first rate all the way. The food is always very flavorefuI and nicely presented. I highly recommend this pleasant neighborhood Italian restaurant, you won't be disappointed.

Omg, you have to try the pizza. I forgot to take a picture because I was so ready to dig in. The service was amazing by ALL the staff, even the manager came over to make sure everything came out great for us. I also tasted some of my spouses chicken fettuccine alfredo and I was transported back to Italy. SERIOUSLY!!!! It tastes just like the pasta I had in Europe and the olives were sooooo good and the cocktails were amazing.
Listen, I think you won't be disappointed with anything you try. Can't wait to get back to Houston again because this will be my first stop.
Shout out to the best bartender "D"!!!!

Last week my wife and I went out for a date night. The restaurant was extremely busy, and we had an unpleasant experience that left us feeling unwelcome. The food was good, it was just poor service with a long wait time.

However, within the hour of leaving a poor review. I was contacted by the most kind, respectful, and altruistic person, Mac. I have never received such a kindhearted, meaningful apology in my life.
Within a few emails I was offered the true hospitality that Dolce Niente tries to show each guest. We were seated and greeted immediately, met the staff, store manager, and general manager. We were amazed by the complete opposite side of what we had originally experienced. They recommended the best wine I have ever had (I am not a wine connoisseur).
The flatbread I was served? I’m not even going to give details to lower the quality of what I was served. Just order it for yourself and try to write about that flatbread yourself.
We asked for the house Alfredo with grilled chicken and was very amazed at the presentation, quality, and background that was given with the dish at table side.
And to top the night off, the cannoli.
I have never had a cannoli before tonight. And I am saddened when I eat this cannoli. How have I say that I live and not tried such an amazing dessert?

If anything is taken from this review. Please. Please!
Give them a second chance to show what they can offer to you as hospitality. Sure they are busy at times, untrained or inexperienced, and maybe a dash of lost quality in some cases.
Let them make up for it, try them again another night, and be surprised at what they view as hospitality.

Set a reservation a couple of weeks ago after seeing positive experiences.

We arrived on time and were seated promptly although they were out of menus. The manager greeted our table quickly.

They do not have a wide variety of Italian entees which was surprising.

They deliver dishes as they are ready which is different from a normal experience. I feel like they want to be family style just with normal size portions.

We ordered the special white pizza to start. The dough was good but the pizza itself wasn't very flavorful. I'd give it 5/10.

We had the chicken parm and shrimp alla vodka entrees. I'd give the chicken parm 8/10 and shrimp alla vodka 7/10. Some of the best Italian in the area, but as an Italian and former New Yorker it's not on par with some of the best meals I've had.

    Wine bottle prices are reasonable.

The space is a little cramped in my opinion, but it is a relatively small interior for a restaurant.

Portion sizes and pricing were good.

I had the awesome opportunity to attend a friends and family night before their opening. Food was fabulous and service was friendly and attentive! The ownership / chef Mac and Bob are great people, talented and so genuine. I have a feeling this place will be very popular and stay busy. Added bonus, they make all their bread / dough in house!
