Shanghai Bistro

This has been the best Chinese/asian food in the Woodlands/North HTX area. Everything tasted good, fresh (like you were eating the actual ingredients listed), and NOT oily! One meal is enough for two, worth the price. And I definitely plan on making this my go-to from now on.

Overall, a nice place with good food ( a mix of Chinese-American and authentic Chinese) and friendly service at a reasonable price. Parking is definitely convenient.

The inside was clean and had a good atmosphere.

Got the Chinese spare ribs with white rice. Best 13$ ever spent.
Rice was well cooked with good flavor. 9/10. The ribs may have been the best ribs I ever ate! 10/10.
The egg drop soup had good flavor but a tad bit thick. 8/10.
Fried rice was super average. 4/10.

I would easily go out of my way to eat here again.

Went here for the first time with my wife a couple weeks ago. The food was excellent and the service was friendly! I would definitely recommend going here over a chain restaurant. The food had great presentation and generous portions.

Shanghai Bistro
I’ve ordered delivery from Shanghai Bistro a handful of times. They are always very quick and the cheap delivery fee makes it an easy decision over take-out. The food is solid. Very large menu. I really enjoy their crispy chili chicken. Unfortunately, the fried rice and noodles are just pretty standard for Chinese food. Not great, not terrible. I don’t know what it is about restaurant fried rice, but the rice never tastes as fresh and as good as it does when it comes out of our own rice cooker. Service and delivery a 5. Food a 3.5. Let’s give it a 4 star rating
