Chef Chan’s the Original

Consistently fresh & delicious! Excellent service. Today we had Hot and sour soup, shrimp toast, and shrimp lo mein.

The spicy sauce was very good on the General
Tso Chicken. But too bad that the chicken
was so dry we couldn't eat it.

This was me and my wife's first time visiting this resturaunt. Our friend knows the owners and told us their food was really good. Well, I was surprised at just how good the food was!!
Everything is fresh!! One of the posts on here said that everything is fried; not true. Some of the food maybe, but that depends on what you order 🤷‍♂️. Anyways, try it for yourself!!!!

What a surprise to find them in Indian Springs! They used be in Grogan's Mill, but sold their business a few years ago, and reopened in Indian Springs a few weeks ago. We used to go to them when they were in Grogan's Mill. Then we moved to San Francisco for four years, and came back just before Covid. We are always looking for a good place to eat. We thought of Chef Chan's in Grogan's Mill, and wanted to make sure that it was still open. My wife started reading the reviews and realized that the ownership changed. So, we decided to try a new Chinese restaurant nearby, and stumbled onto "Chef Chan's the original." The owner recognized me right away and gave us a warm welcome back. The food was still excellent! We found a go-to restaurant finally! Thank you for coming back!

Chef Chan’s The Original is the best Chinese food I’ve had since moving to The Woodlands from the NYC area. Probably because they are from NY. The fried rice and the pan fried dumplings are just like I had in NY as are many other dishes. The restaurant is family owned and they are wonderful, friendly people and will make their dishes just about any way you like. I’m very happy they have returned to The Woodlands and I am now a regular customer. I highly recommend Chef Chan’s The Original
