Mastro's Ocean Club

First time visiting this location. It was my 49th birthday. The food was delicious. I was shocked that bread & butter was considered am appetizers and you were charged for it. 🤷‍♀️

We chose Mastro's Ocean Club in The Woodlands to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We'd never been there before and wanted a very nice restaurant to have a nice evening out. Our server, Audra, was excellent. She new the menu, wine list, drinks, etc without looking and provided exceptional service. The food was fantastic as well. However, we were very disappointed to see many people out of dress code. Shorts, t shirts, flip flops, etc. was the norm by most of the people there. Don't stress a dress code and how strictly it's enforced if you're not going to enforce it. Really took away from the ambiance.

I have been here twice and had great overall experiences both visits. The big eye tuna is awesome. Steak on my first trip was amazing. Second trip the steak was slightly overcooked but everything else waa great. I would recommend this restaurant.

My three adult sons and I went there for a steak dinner. I had the 16oz New York strip with bone marrow butter that was cooked to perfection and very tender. Our sides were sautéed mushrooms, macaroni and cheese, and garlic mashed potatoes.
Kenny was our waiter and was very attentive. He spoke loud and clear enough for us to hear him without any problem. We will ask for him whenever we go there. We did not have any issues with the food temperature, food quality, or quality of service.
The only downside is the noise level. It was a bit loud when we went. (It was a packed Saturday evening.)

We loved it here. The servers were incredible and so helpful in every way! Even the restroom attendant (he has worked with Mastro’s for 29 years and told a bit about the history when I asked), was one of the kindest and most helpful people I’ve met. The food was most excellent. The steaks are all wet-aged and incredibly tender. My wife and I enjoyed their seafood selections too. Try them out!
