Peli Peli Woodlands

My boyfriend and I went to this place for lunch we wanted a good way to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and try something new since we are not from Texas and we have just moved here from Nevada my boyfriend isn't all for announcing celebrations and being on the spot but I ordered alcoholic beverages which were amazing my favorite was the cucumber beverage I forgot what my boyfriend had ordered for his food simply because I was having a great time trying the beverages it did get to me a bit but it was amazing I ordered the silver kind they with fries and I'm a girl that loves fries I will order anything with fries haha but I love my steak black and blue rare at first they weren't sure because of health code reasons but I know most restaurants will but it was amazing cooked well, I ate all my food while enjoying my beverages and they had asked if we were celebrating anything considering it was our first time there and I let them know it was our anniversary everyone was so kind they wished us a good anniversary and they brought over a glass of champagne my boyfriends was nonalcoholic because he was driving but I highly recommend this place it is amazing and tasty and very welcoming inside

Had the "small fare" ribs. Absolutely amazing! Unexpected not on the bone. They were shredded and stuffed inside fresh garlic bread...tasted absolutely beautiful! Would come again just for this...highly recommended!

Recommend this place for the ambiance, good food and drinks. We came in for the happy hour. There were five items on the happy hour menu, we tried all of them and they were great. The drinks on that menu were not as diluted, like many restaurants do for 1/2 priced drinks, they were actually tasty. The service was very good, and the issue with going 2 minutes past happy hour time was resolved quickly. We ordered a couple of dishes off their regular menu, like Beef Bobotie the traditional South African dish with ground beef and sweet potatoes, and it was small but very filling and flavorful.

Stellar service, stellar food, so 5 stellar stars for Peli Peli. Don't be intimidated by the type of food. It's very approachable and something on the menu for everyone. The atmosphere is romantic, but not stuffy. I highly recommend the bobotie as an appetizer and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Everything was amazing... from the service to the food and drinks! Although it was Thanksgiving and the staff was working on this holiday, everyone was amazing! Our server Lawrence, did double duty as bartender too and had the most amazing moustache! My 6 year old called him a true gentleman! Loved the attentiveness and attention to detail! Happy Thanksgiving!
