The food and staff were excellent. My wife and I stopped on a whim and I'm glad we did. We will try to stop in more often when we are headed to or from Tyler and places north

Had 2 meat plate with sliced beef and 1/2 chicken with potato salad and corn nuggets. Beef was really good, but the chicken was very dry and overcooked. Best corn nuggets I have ever had.

Ordered 10 oz. Rib eye, loaded mashed potatoes, and fried squash. It was all the best! Flavorful, tender, and freshly made! Restaurant was homey and comfortable. Ordered banana pudding. Yum! Yum! Creamy and just enough banana. Too full to eat. Had to bring home. Always leave with a smile and a full stomach.

This place is an hr from where my mother in law stays. The steak was cook perfectly inside with a little crunch on the outside. My wife's food (which I also ate) was also tasty. As long as this place is here, I wouldn't mind spending a few days getting scolded and tormented.

Wow! Was the food good here. The steak, hamburgers, and banana pudding were the stars. The BBQ is great. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because once you walk in - the BBQ line is out of the way. We didn't know it was there until we sat down. So, we ordered a 3 meat plate as an "appetizer" or all of us. The sweet and unsweetened teas were switched, the sweet potatoes fries and the cobbler was soggy. I may give it four stars later. But, as a first timer there it's at 3.
