Eat here for a real bite of Texas!!!

My first visit to this wonderful city, led me to an incredible restaurant, with amazing steaks. You can check out the Selena Museum only 2 minutes down the street. Then, make your way to a place that has been slinging steaks since 1957! They present you with a feel that is both warming and family oriented. I started with the soup of the day (chicken noodle) it was amazing ???? then I ordered the 20 oz Tbone which after multiple options, this was my second choice. The first was the 82 oz challenge which you get for free after completion. It was my first time, so I took it easy. My sides were broccoli and a side salad. Everything is made from scratch here daily! My steak came out pretty quickly, the aroma was out if this world! Your first bite you can taste all the flavor and juices from your first bite in, yummm ???? They also serve you hot, soft and flaky rolls with a cinnamon butter on the side. After devouring my taste of a real Texas steak, I know my next meal will be the fresh seafood here. I highly recommend this place, tell them I sent you!

It's an older place but don't let that fool you. My mom used to bring us here when we were young. The food is excellent and the portions are a lot. Home made and the service is pretty fast. The owners are usually there and they are hospitable. overall experience was outstanding and my wife said that I better give it 5 stars. lol

1st time here, the food was delicious, service was excellent. Owner Nick is also the cook and makes sure that the food quality is up to expectations. Always forget about this place due to location but we will be going out of our way to go back and try something different every time.

Great customer service! Excellent food, apple crisp was ok. But overall experince was good and it was close to the hotel.
