I would say it's Italian fusion. They have Caesar salad on the menu. My experience with "authentic" Italian restaurants is Caesar salad is not "authentic" Italian but rather a Mexican dish (despite the creator being Italian). The Caesar salad they offer is loaded with mozzarella cheese, not a good thing if you're looking forward to a traditional Caesar salad. Otherwise food temperature was hot and cold where appropriate and flavorful. Portions were in abundance. They are proud of the red sauce; your food will be drowning in it. Service was excellent.
Ordered 16" pizza with six toppings and some chocolate cake. The pizza was ready in 20 minutes. The crust was very light, not chewy at all. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Loved the tomato sauce, quite tasty and bold. The chocolate cake was definitely enjoyable with a rich texture and taste topped with freshly whipped cream. I would definitely order from Island Italian again.
This place has a nice atmosphere and great service. Probably best used as a local pizza joint as the Pizza is by far their best food item.
Pros: Service and atmosphere. The pizza can be pretty good and there is a bar (Its the island, I'm surprised the Wataburger doesn't have bar.)
Cons: Some of the other dishes are not as good. Parking lot also is rough.
By far theee best Italian food I had in a long while. Everything is had was amazing. The environment is very friendly. The wait service is extremely knowledgeable on there food and service. I really wanted the veal but the staff recommend the Italian sampler. Which feature all of the known dishes. We also had the Italian chicken wings as an appetizer. You can not go wrong eating here, unless you don't have any taste buds. Come with an an empty stomach. There portions are plenty.
