Food good. Fair price. Service good. Very long time wait
So good. Not super quick, but totally worth the wait. Very relaxed inside. And the kids liked that you can watch them make the pizzas.
Very long wait for the pizza. Plan an hour ahead of time for a weekend dinner. The wings are not worth the money. Do not get them. The pizza was decent enough. Not worth the long wait time or the high price. The restaurant it self was a complete zoo. It's seat yourself at any open area at the long tables they have. They do have beer on tap so drink up while you wait to distract you from all the kaos.
I love the South of the Border pizza (AKA taco pizza). The restaurant has character. It's fun and easy atmosphere to take kids, and as an adult I appreciate that they serve good draft beer and are also supportive of community initiatives.
I absolutely LOVE Panjo’s Pizza. The first time I went there was over 40 years ago! My father got the VERY FIRST pizza out of their, then new, pizza oven. The oven now serves as a pizza pan storage space. He popped in and asked when they’d be opening. He said they had not yet hooked up the beer taps, they were just about to make a pizza for the first time. They asked my dad what he wanted and they made their FIRST of hundreds and thousands of mushroom and black olive pizzas!
I remember singing along side the “Piano-Man” that wore a red and white candy striped jacket and corn husk hat. He gave us kids peppermints for joining in.
I don’t live in Corpus Christi anymore, but when I visit, I make a beeline straight to Panjo’s Pizza!
It’s amazing that the large wood furnishings are the SAME! It’s amazing to realize I’ve sat at those same exact tables over 40 years ago! Going to Panjo’s is like visiting my old neighborhood.
Here’s me passing on the tradition of eating the best pizza in the world! And YES, I feel that way about the ORIGINAL thin crispy crust. Panjo’s has it first!
