    Best place in town to go get a home style lunch. Really an old school type of place, buffet style, great vegetables and always some type of delicious greens. The place is always exceptionally clean and the wait staff is the best. Every now and then, Mr. Portis will belt our a little live song. Awesome folks and just a great place for lunch. It is in the basement of the Wells Fargo Bank uptown, kind of tuck out of the main path. Enjoy!

    I am from North Carolina and I was looking for a place that serviced food close to what I am used to and Portis Country Kitchen fill that void. I have been there several times and each time the food was great. Looking forward to going back soon. A little hard to find but certainly worth it!! If you want home cooking and plenty to eat this is the place for you. The staff is always so helpful and friendly. Great local business.
