Rock Star Sushi and Hibachi

What an awesome place! The service was perfect and the food outstanding. Our group had a lot of fun at the Hibachi. Our cook was funny and provided a great show in preparing our lunch. The portion sizes were large, especially for the price. Highly, highly recommend this place.

A little more expensive than other Corpus Christi sushi places like Aka or Imperial, but the portions seemed slightly larger and there did appear to be more creativity put into Rockstar's presentation, a very pleasant surprise. In particular I enjoyed the 'Tower,' which wasn't a roll but a well put together collection of ingredients plated into a small 'tower' and topped with a quail egg. Personally my wife and I are fans of Imperial, but if we were unable to drive to the other end of town or just happened to be in the area and in the mood for sushi we would (and will) happily return. The inclusion of hibachi is a nice bonus as well!

The best hibachi in corpus in my opinion! From the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be great. The atmosphere was amazing and unique. The hibachi chef got our food out quickly. That matters so your not there waiting just picking on your rice. Sushi was made with artisan skill. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place. Will be returning!

Went for the first time last night and had a wonderful time! The food was great! The portion size was generous, and the prices were affordable. We loved the hostess and our waitress. They even gave my daughter very impressive ice cream to celebrate her accomplishment. We will definitely be back for all of our special occasions.

I have dined in and ordered a pick up to go. We went for my bday (3 adults, 2 kids) and the waitress was told this. It wasn't busy, however, she kept rushing us to order drinks, but didn't know what beers or liquors they carried. Understandable, not everyone drinks or is familiar with their bar. But she rushed us so I only got water. Then she was unfamiliar with the menu; such as, the type of steak used with their "steak hibachi." There is a filet hibachi, but what is the steak? She asked, and we ordered it. Then other things such as the kids items, substitutions, etc. It was a mess. I didn't really enjoy my dinner at all. HOWEVER, I called in an order to go and was pleased. They just do not tell you a price over the phone, nor where to pick it up, (the bar, for anyone curious). 15-20 minutes turned into almost 40.. and my fried roll was kind of squishy. Oh, well. Live and learn.
