The Post at Lamar Park

For a place calling itself a gastropub, I was slightly disappointed with their food. The dishes were very bland when it should have had an elevated flavor or salt, at the very least. Presentation was the only thing I enjoyed about the entrees. Drinks were good but pricepoint did not match flavor profiles. Waitstaff was very courteous and welcoming. Atmosphere was nice.

So this is not my favorite brunch spot. This place is certainly better served as a high end lounge/ drink spot. I really wanted something more like hot tea with my breakfast and that wasn’t an option. I also prefer healthier food options than what they have to offer.
I ordered the chicken and waffles for brunch. Despite the fact I’m not suppose to have waffles. The waffle was burned and the chicken was so thick it was unappetizing. The service was not bad. The food came out so quick it just made me think it wasn’t very fresh.

The Post is a great place for drinks and the food is usually good. The specials are my favorite because I like a rotating menu. The wine list is pretty good. One thing many people have said is they want a beer menu. There are many rotating beers here so it's difficult but there are a bunch that are always offered. Happy hour is great.

Awesome food! Great drinks. Love the patio on a nice day. Note though they put brisket in there potatoes not a nice surprise for a vegetarian. Still they're great!

Brunch...the ONLY truly Brunch gift in CCTX! I didn't even take a pic of my food I was so mesmerized by the offerings! This is without a doubt better than easily HALF of what Houston or San Antonio offer. If brunch is your thing the creativity of the Post will leave you frustrated and anxious because whoever you come with will have order EXACTLY what you meant to order!
