Good home-style BBQ and Burgers... Quick bite after a long beach day. Friendly service. Spicy BBQ sauce is good with bbq brisket and chicken ... Side of jalapeno creamed corn!
If your looking for a BBQ place, it's worth a try. Service was slower then I expected however we had the bartender who was managing the bar, tables and phone we our heart went out to him. Brisket was dry, however, okay with their sauce. The boys enjoyed their pork ribs and corn bread as delicious. Added plus is free ice cream cones for the kids, so a nice treat for them..
Nice hang out, staff friendly. Good place to social drink. Fried chicken too crispy crunchy. Decent portions on shrimp platter. Not a fan of fish seasoning. Did not try the barbecue. Plates range $18 on up. Casual beach dress, shorts and sandals acceptable.
The food was ok. However, the service, although friendly, was slower than molasses in deep winter. After being bypassed by the waitress twice and waiting 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order, we had to ask the hostess to ask our server to come over. She took our order and left without out asking if we were ready to order which we were. The food came out faster, but no one checked to see if we needed anything like the servers at the other tables. After we ordered dessert, it took another 10 to 15 minutes to get peach cobbler and pecan pie. Both were nothing to write home about. We ended up just having the self serve that came with it, which was much better. Sadly, we won't be back. Shocking that being associated with Fin's, it wasn't even half as good.
Had the fish n chips and pork chili. Very impressive selection of draft beer on tap. I had the Art Car IPA but they wouldn't do a pint. Fish was fresh and not frozen. Love that they had limes available for the fish. Chili could have been warmed up a bit hotter bit flavor was good. If you are in the area you should definately give the Mac Daddy a try
