We loved it. The best chicken fried steak you'll ever eat. If you're not a super heavy eater you may want to get the small. Service is outstanding. Prices are reasonable.

Great home-cooking w a cozy atmosphere & Generous portion sizes @ reasonable prices. The burgers taste like home-made & the chicken strips w white gravy are yummy. We highly recommend this place when you want some down-home cooking.

I’ve been twice and had a great steak both times. The bread cuts like butter, salad is always cold and fresh, the food has been consistently good and in my opinion, as someone who travels frequently for work, this is the only place worth a damn to eat at between Sulphur and Beaumont when the restaurant food in this part of the country usually leaves something to be desired. It’s not fancy on the inside but I love all the western and John Wayne decor. Our service has been great as well!

I have heard many good things about Robert's restaurant and meat market. After stopping for a meal, I finally understand what the fuss is about.
I recommend giving them a shot. Although it would take many trips to try half of the menu, everything we tried was very good. The complementary fresh baked bread was exceptional.
Our waitress was also outstanding. Nice clean restaurant, not far off of interstate 10.
