Texas Tea Room

The beef medallions were tender and charred with fabulous seasoning, the mashed potatoes were fluffy as clouds and the zucchini was perfect. I cleaned my plate. This is the beef flavor I was looking for in Texas!

Delicious entrees and friendly staff. Definitely a must try if you have never been.

Very friendly staff. Helpful with food decisions. Chicken salad recommended by waitress and paired it with tortilla soup, both were very good. Wife had pulled pork and I stole a few bites of it

We were in Carthage to see the Footprints in the Sand monument and decided to go eat at the Texas Tea Room. My wife had heard about this place and wanted to go. I was unsure what to expect since it was a "tea room", but it was not what I expected. It's located in an old bank building just off the square downtown. You can see the old vault in the back room. We ordered hamburgers on toasted jalapeno buns with seasoned french fries for best and sweet potato fries for me. The hamburgers were bland cooked and had great flavor. Great place to eat if you're in the area.

My daughter and I were traveling from Houston and heading to St. Louis when her car a/c died
We had to stop in Carthage TX at a mechanic to have her compressor replaced. Folks there recommended The Tea. Room for lunch. It was within walking distance. Food was a tasty distraction from our road trip delay. Service was great.
