Every time we have eaten here it has been delicious and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. Definitely will keep going back.

Living in Ballinger for a bit, I ate at the original quite a bit. After I moved to Ft Worth, I missed West Texas steak houses. When I recently found out they expanded, we headed out for a road trip. It sets back off the road, so keep your eye out. The new building is awesome. We ordered the KC for 2. As is tradition, a huge pile of meat was put before us. It was cooked perfectly. The flavor is mouthwatering. Don't forget to order their famous Jeff Davis Pie!!

Went there last night. First impression was that it was very warm and inviting. Fans were a nice touch with high ceilings to give it that farm to table feel. Carlow was our waiter. Very personable and smart. We order our steaks well done. They had no problem taking them back and cooking them just a little more. They came back still juicy and tender. The baked potato was great. I definitely will tell all my friends about this place. I would come here once a week if I could. Carlos is a great asset and he loves his job with this company. It shows in his way with people. Definitely want to sit in his section next time we go back.

First time visit was a great experience. It was busy but did not take too long to be seated. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was absolutely delicious. The mashed potatoes lacked a little seasoning but were still good. The salad and soup bar is unlimited visits but a little limited on choice of items. The service was nice and pretty expeditious. All in all, I definitely recommend giving it a try. It is a great place for good old fashioned home cooking.
