Much anticipated opening of the only waterfront restaurant on Lake Livingston! Nice updates to the space, great food, beautiful views. Sunshades for the windows facing the water will be a must in the summer months as the setting sun is intense for most of the tables. Come check it out and support your local businesses.
First time trying Johnny's during their soft opening. Went in at 7:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. Was quoted 25 minute wait only waited for 20. The service was outstanding. Every one was extremely friendly. The food was delicious!! Highly recommend the toasted ravioli. Had a cup of the tomato basil soup. Needed a bit more tomato but still good. The chicken parm and philly cheese steak was amazing! The prices were great! Two apps, two entrees, and two beers and we still came in under $50. Was outta there by 830. Will definitely be going back!
I'll give 5 stars once wait staff is up to speed. Food is excellent but a good waiter is hit or miss. Still worth the wait though.
Went tonight. What a good meal we had. Calamari and fried ravioli appetizer. Spaghetti with meat sauce. Medium pizza with pepperoni, black olives, mozzarella de Buffalo, feta cheese and caramelized onions. It was awesome. For dessert Italian cream cake. Not to sweet.
Service was good.
Great new restaurant with an awesome view of the lake while you dine. Pasta is great. Pork chops are best I've had at a restaurant, thick, tender and juicy and loaded with flavor. Steak was loaded with flavor, tender and juicy. Fried shrimp is great with a light flavorful batter. Cheese sticks are superb. Did not need sauces for any meats as you would not want to cover the flavor.
Garlic knots are quite yummy as well. Still a brand new restaurant so be patient as they work out the kinks. Full bar open to the outdoor patio. Cruise your boat on in and dock for a great meal as well. Evening sun beaming through the windows can be a bit hard on the eyes, but the view of the sunset makes it worth it! Only major complaint I have is no sweet tea at this time. (Suppose to be coming)
