Authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices!! Worth the drive to the East side of Boulevard

What a wonderful surprise stop in Amarillo. We immediately felt like we stepped into a warm homey restaurant in Mexico. The decor was bright and authentic and the food delivered. Very fresh flavors with a great selection of roasted meats and seafood. Easily the best Mexican restaurant I’ve eaten at in Texas. Unfortunately we missed the mariachi by coming too early! Delicious meals and wonderful atmosphere.

This modest place on the side of the highway is a must go! We found it on Google while we were passing through Amarillo and were so glad we stopped. It was packed at 3pm on a Sunday, but they quickly got us seated at a table. The food came fast and it was absolutely delicious. Home made tortillas, awesome flavors. Highly recommend the birria tacos and do not skip their homemade hot sauce brought out in a yellow squeeze bottle. Margaritas and micheladas also spot on.

The service was swift and attentive. We were met with an accommodating smile and seated promptly. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. The menudo tasted pretty good and was substantial. Their enchiladas were fair for the price. The real stand out was the corn tortillas; there was just something unique about them. The staff there was great the chefs even lightly seared the enchilada tortillas giving them a very home made feel.
