Good food and nice staff. closed on Mondays but they do have a drive up window as well as inside dining. Great food and choices and the potato salad and beans should be a meal all by themselves they are awesome too!
So glad we stopped in! I loved the pulled pork, alligator crab sausage, baked beans & the fried squash was amazing! The staff go out of their way to be friendly & they keep your tea full. It's all good!
Had not tried since the ownership changed. Went in yesterday to get take out. Pulled pork and beans were very good. Potato salad average store bought. Peach cobbler was more of a dump cake but still very good. Reasons for a three star: lack of personality from the staff, food put in a carry bag and handle was covered in beans (which I had to wipe off before putting in vehicle), no plastic ware or napkins added to bag, lack of sides variety (and some looked a bit old).
Went in there expecting the same ole same ole BBQ place. Not at all. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with blinding smiles so I had to put on my sunglasses. As I gazed upon the menu I saw so many delectable items. Per usual I got my favorite, a pulled pork sandwich. As the meat cutter put the pork upon the cutting board I knew this was not his first rodeo. He cut the pork with such swiftness. The accuracy and precision was second to none. It was a sight to see. Incredible. As the server put my sides on my plate I knew I was in for a treat. As I took a bite of my food I had found myself on a slice of heaven. The mac and cheese was incredible. Light and fluffy and full of amazing flavor. The potato salad was such full of delicious flavors. Felt like I was in the Deep South being fed by Dolly Pardon herself. After washing it all down with an ice cold Dr. Pepper I came to the realization I indeed was not in heaven but in the small town of Emory Texas, the largemouth bass capital of the world.
Vary clean, food was great. Staff was helpful, polite and accommodating. I went for lunch this time, and got the brisket sandwich, and the brisket was well seasoned and sliced to perfection by a vary polite young man named Justin that could easily be mistaken as the owner. He seems to have the place running like a well oiled machine. I was curious how the place changed under new management and it's as good as I remember. Brisket is wonderful and the peach cobbler really takes the cake.
