Ranch House Cafe

The food is fabulous. I got the country breakfast with a chicken fried steak. It did not disappoint. The steak was so good and the home fries were the best I've ever had. We ordered a pancake as our "breakfast dessert". It was so thick, fluffy and cakey. It was great with or without syrup. Our server, Sophie, was super friendly and attentive to our needs. Our coffee cups never sat empty even though she was quite busy. The decor and atmosphere were super cute and homey. We will definitely be coming here on our way home from Colorado in the summer.

The chicken fried steak was home made and very good. I hade french fries and macaroni and cheese that where both very good.

My helper had the cowboy sandwich. He loved it.

We came in on the way out of Amarillo, absolutely stunning! The service was great, and the food was awesome. Definitely come here if you’re not from Texas; I’m native to DFW and I’d say this place is a great representation. Even with the fried foods, the seasoning isn’t lost. Their gravy is rich too! My rec is the chicken fried steak, and be sure to come hungry, because the portions- steak, potatoes, eggs- are well worth the price!!

This is a great little breakfast spot for American style and comfort food breakfasts. We come in to see our daughter play ball at WTAMU and always have at least one meal here each trip. I wish Austin had a down home cafe like this!
