Z's Catfish

This place has "spicy" catfish as an option and totally nails it. The salt content does not go up when you order the spicy as with other places. You actually get some good food that feels like cajun family quality. Everything is fresh, not frozen. The collard greens are to die for. My only complaint is that you get only one side. If you want french fries and the collard greens you will have to pay extra. Grandy's gives you 2 sides with their catfish plate for about the same price or even a little less but you are eating previously frozen catfish at a fast food type place then. If a couple extra dollars is no big deal to you go here.

Z‘s catfish is the place where you will find the best catfish in the Dallas area! I am a big fan of Louisiana Fried catfish and figured that I needed to be able to find a place that was local versus driving to New Orleans every time that I was craving catfish. My boss actually recommended this place and she said that it was the closest thing to a home that she has tasted. The staff is very friendly and the food is phenomenal. My husband is in love with the red beans and rice and could probably eat that every day if I let him. I even ended up getting a family pack to share with my family when they came over to our new home and they love that! I would recommend the mac & cheese as it is made so uniquely and taste delicious.

The food is great. I love the atmosphere. Best place in town for your family to eat at. Best restaurant in town hands down. You want some great catfish this is the place to get it. I drove from Arlington to Rockwall to just to get a great meal. Thanks Mrs. Z's you rock.
