Food is not bad. Hit or miss. Never really busy when I've gone. Better than fast food. Portions are small. Great chips and salsa. I don't think staff really cares if your there or not. Still one more Mexican restaurant in town to try.

Has been good in the past, but not a good experience today. My wife is gluten intolerant; anything with wheat (e.g. flour), barley, or rye makes her ill. The waitress, bless her heart, worked her best to find something she could eat. The cook, however, was not up to really helping except to finally say "she can get a salad". We didn't go there for a salad, we wanted what we got the last two times when the prior cook came to discus the ingredients to make sure my wife could enjoy fajitas without getting ill. Either today's cook didn't know what gluten is or didn't care. Again, our waitress was great and the host was pleasant. Bottom line: if you have any kind of food allergies, I suggest you go elsewhere. If not, you'll probably enjoy this restaurant as we have in the past. BTW - the 3 vs 2 stars was because of the waitress.

I will go back next time I'm in Ballinger. The food was yummy. We came back. Still excellent and fast. Great service.

Alejandra's is the best restaurant in Ballinger. It's in an historic bldg and the owners have kept the rugged interior as it was, including the original wood floor and quarried stone walls. It's a Mexican food restaurant though tbh I've only ever eaten the chicken fried steak. Practically every Mexican food restaurant in west Texas serves this dish and theirs is by far the best around. If you're traveling through it's worth a stop. I highly recommend.
