(October 18, 2020, 7:55 pm)We visited on a Saturday afternoon in October around 1pm. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer, bringing us things we requested quickly and with a smile. This, even though there were five or six tables of customers and she was the only waitress. The restaurant had just recently reopened after being closed during COVID. The food arrived quickly and was as good, if not better than anything you could get in a metropolitan area like Dallas. And the prices were reasonable. The 5 piece chicken tender basket with Texas Toast and one side was $8. A combo meal at Whataburger can cost just as much. I would highly recommend the Heart of Texas Grill on the square in San Augustine.
