Mickey's Bar and Grill

Oh boy, was I in for a surprise when I got taken here for a nice lunch on our trip. Mickey's has that fisherman atmosphere that you find in a lot of places down here, but they pull it off well and keep it feeling authentic. The staff were friendly and really seemed to enjoy their job. I got the basket with fried fish and shrimp. Hands down, best restaurant fish and shrimp I've had. The crust was amazing and the fish it self (flounder) was delightful. The shrimp was butterflied and tasted amazing. My onion rings were on the softer side for my taste but it didn't distract from the greatness that was everything else. My basket was $20 and I feel like that I was a fair price. I highly recommend coming to Mickey's if you're in the area!

30 min wait on a Saturday night but it moved pretty quick. You can grab a drink while you wait. Food was all hot and fresh. View was cool overlooking the channel and boats. Staff was pretty friendly too. We'll go again on our next trip.

Food was great but prices were not. If you are checking for prices with the menu on here then add $1-3 more! I understand they need to be able to stay in business during this pandemic but $100 tab for 2 adults and 2 kids was not what we were expecting. Insane when 1 fish taco costs $8!!! That's our only complaint, pricing. Fried shrimp was cooked perfect, fries tasted good and our kids enjoyed their food (chicken tenders and grilled cheese). Husband said the fish tacos were amazing and the seafood gumbo was worth coming back for. Mind you a cup not a bowl for it was $11! Definitely a place worth to at least try.

Some wonderful fine dining on the water. Love the gumbo. It’s got to be the best seafood gumbo in all of Texas. Don’t believe me? Try it. I dare you to prove me wrong. Owner is very good people too. Gives back to the community regularly. Thank you.

A very chilled & relaxing spot next to the water. It feels like being in your back yard. I recommend getting a table on the second floor deck near the edge. The food was very decent, the portions were generous, and the breeze was nice. Would definitely come back here again.
