1836 Texas Kitchen

Wife had the BBQ Shrimp. She liked it. Daughters chicken tenders with mac n' cheese was good. I ordered the Lone Star burger. It was lukewarm like it had been heated in a microwave. The fries were slightly warm. I sent mine back and it was taken off my ticket. The manager was very nice and professional. Even offered to cook me something else but I declined. This is not for everybody. If you like traditional cuisine this is not the place for you. If you like a different spin to your food, then this place will work for you.

The food was really good but the service was not so great. I was in a large group and they only assigned one waitress to over 25 people. We waited about 30 minutes to even get our food orders in but the expoditing wait was short. At the end of the meal they informed us their computer system was down and they could only take cash. All in all I will probably not return here, but the shrimp and grits was very yummy!

Great restaurant for brunch, lunch or anything in between. Menu is spicy with a wealth of dishes prepared with a variety of peppers. Fantastic pimento cheese and green sauce.

Great local place. Solid food, good service and good location. We will be back!
