I had lunch here in the old bank building, and it was really great. Go for the food and enjoy all the rest. Nice rooms are available all with lots of ambiance. Service was perfect. The table, chairs, utensils, glassware, and napkins were spotless. Cobb salad was perfect. Others got the hamburger which was a feast for the eyes, and, according to the eaters, really the best burger they had in months. The prices were very good. I'll go back and may even make a 2 hr trek to Tyler just to eat here again. Jack Ryan's does it right!

Atmosphere is great, but a bit sparse. Service is top, the servers are courteous and attentive. Menu is great but a bit small and could use more variety. Menu did not specify that the chicken dish was only 1/2 of a tiny hen, with maybe 1/4 cup of squash with it, and nothing else on the plate; we felt a bit cheated. The steak was one of the absolute best we've ever had! Crab cake was seriously divine. The lamb was very tasty. Uncommon and tasty cocktails, pretty creative but not many to choose from. Hope to see this place improve and stay in business as there are not many fine dinings in Tyler.

Outstanding all the way around. My husband and I loved the food and the service was top notch. I recommend the friend green to tomatoes as an appetizer, the lump crab that comes on top is delicious! We also had the calamari which we would get again, very flavorful. We ordered two of the seasonal cheeses and we did not regret it. We had the lobster bisque, if you go and that is the soup special, trust me you need to get this. My husband loves lobster and he said this was the best soup he has ever had. Every food item we ordered was exceptional. We did try four different cocktails, all were decent. For the price I would like them stronger, but overall good flavor. We eat fine dining about once a month for a treat to ourselves. They really don't skimp you on the portions like other places so we will definitely be back.

All in all a great experience. I have to give some grace as this was a large party. Ordered steak rare to med rare and it was closer to med well, still had a great flavor. My bar service was great but can't really mess up neat bourbon, or I don't think, but others mixed drinks were just not very good. I would go back in a smaller group and would expect it to be 5 stars

Restaurant and bar located in the historic People's Petroleum Building on the square in Tyler. The restaurant has fantastic steak. Also the bar is cozy and refine to sit and have desert, coffee and/or drinks. Also great place to go for coffee in the afternoon in the lounge area to relax and appreciate the art deco style.
