Yamato Japanese Steak House

This place was awesome! The food was delicious. We didn't want rice or noodles and they subbed with extra veggies. Most places just take the rice and noodles and don't even offer to sub. Will definitely be going back! I also love the little goldfish pond in the waiting area. Super cute. The sushi is not half bad either!

My experience at Yamatos was great! We were seated right away. The server was attentive. Our hibachi chef Jose was very entertaining. And the food was fabulous! Will definitely be back and will recommend to others as well!

Update: I ate in the dining room this time instead of sitting at the grill and still had a great experience!

Third visit to this location, second time sitting in the booth area vs the hibachi area, it's always a lot more personal over there when it's a family dinner. Waiter (Danno? He's hilarious, you'll know when you get him) made the night so much more enjoyable, from the jokes to the birthday song to just keeping us all entertained. Sushi was delicious (and not overpriced like some places in larger cities), along with hibachi bowl/meal. If you're not a heavy eater, you will have leftovers. And always get your sake hot.

Starting off was great. Service was immediate, food arrived fast and tasted great. From there it went down the drain. We finished eating and waited about 10 minutes to be brought a ticket. We again waited another 15 minutes for the server to return to pick up the ticket so we could pay. I could understand if the restaurant was busy but there was only a few tables full with multiple servers. Better luck next time.

Love, love, love this place!! Had a great talented chef, we were seated in the back room, and had a great time on Valentine's evening. Two of our group ran late but they held our spot and we were seated with drinks very quickly without anyone saying a negative word. We had a wonderful evening and the food was so tasty that even a non-beef eater loved his meal.
