Hickman's Restaurant

Just ate at Hickman‘s. Loved everything about it. The staff was friendly, the portions were large, and the small salad bar was fresh and delicious. Had enough food to take for dinner. I had the hamburger steak and my husband had the open faced steak sandwich. He said it was some of the best chicken fried steak he’s ever eaten! We got a cinnamon roll to go that’s as big as my head! Plenty of parking for our pick up and travel trailer. Won’t miss the chance to do this again!

This is a terrific little restaurant, it seems like it’s the only “restaurant” in town. Such a quaint place. I loved all the old world decor’. Also BONUS, the food and service is awesome too. I had a patty melt and the wife had a BLT we were not disappointed with the food or the service.

AND THEN …. They also have pie! Wow …. do they have pie …. Yummmmmmmm.

Was headed home after being away in the field 8 days and saw the "Open" sign blinking. I was hungry so I stopped. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak dinner and was not disappointed. Food was excellent and came with a slice of toasted homemade bread. It came with a trip to the salad bar, which was fresh and well stocked for such a small restaurant. While returning to my table with my salad, I spotted two of the largest cinnamon rolls I've ever seen! They covered the plates they were on. I later learned they bake their own breads and pies. I was full so I didn't have a chance to try their pies. Next time. This is a good hometown restaurant with good service and delicious food. I will definitely be stopping again if I'm passing through!

I'm working in the area for now. Not too many places to eat. This was a good find. Daily lunch buffet is great. Cat fish Fri buffet is really good.

Great food, great service, very clean! Best coconut cream pie ever. Steak fingers & salad bar were great. Next time I'll ask for fries to be crispy. But overall very good!!
