Delicious! We were just traveling through the area and stopped to try Pit Stop BBQ. It was so tasty, we ended up stopping on our way back through again about a week later! We got the BBQ Nachos and they were incredible. 10/10 would recommend and we will be going again when traveling through the area!
This place is so good! The 2 meat plate is very filling and tasty! I ordered sliced brisket, jalapeño cheese sausage, cream corn and coleslaw. The added pineapple bit’s did not go unnoticed in the slaw! 🤤
My wife and I were traveling from El Paso to home in New Braunfels, and stopped off in Sonora, TX for a little break and some lunch. We stopped in Pit Stop BBQ because of the good reviews. We found a small BBQ joint with a small indoor dining room and an outdoor covered patio area with picnic tables. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The restaurant was very clean and the food was excellent. We got the baby back ribs and a sausage, potato salad, and creamed corn. Everything was delicious, the ribs fell off the bone (literally), the cream corn tasted like something your grandma would make, the potato salad creamy and good, and the sausage was very tasty. All great food, cool little place and we highly recommend this small restaurant business.
The place looks clean from comfort room to the eating area. They have a cute collection of the plate numbers. Decent amount of chairs inside and it appear they had an outside sitting but we were not able to see that during our visit.
The staff were nice and easy to talk to.
Food was good - the boar, you have this cheesy sausage, brisket and ribs that meat fall easily partnered with the sides you choose. I had coleslaw and their creamy corn but for me it didn’t match BUT a simple corn will actually be a good one as the bbq have a lot of taste already and I don’t think so that needs to add more. The Jackalope was just so good that can’t stop eating am not sure if it was supposed to be spicy but it’s not. We also had the two soft drinks and it was really good especially the root beer.
This place is a gem. Hopefully to get back soon too.
