Being from Chicago and eating at the original Gino's many times, I was excited when I found out that they had opened a location down here. We went on a Thursday night and ordered in ADVANCE so that we'd only have to wait a short time to get our deep dish pizza. For those of you not familiar with deep dish, it takes 45 minutes to an hour to cook. The pizza was great, the server was very attentive and the leftovers were great also. I'm looking forward to going back. Just note, a large deep dish is going to run you about $29, but that's what it costs in most places nowadays for a deep dish.

I am originally from Chicago {the original home of Gino's} so having one in Texas made me happy!

The pizza was amazing, but the service was the best part!

Curtis, our server, was patient, attentive and efficient!

There were 4 kids in our group. Another server {we were clearly slacking because we didn't get his name} brought the kids markers and engaged them.

It was just a great overall experience!

Wonderful deep-dish pizza with friendly, attentive service. We were visiting town and tried Gino's after an event at Arlington Backyard. The atmosphere was cozy and not too loud or crowded. (It was a bit late, so we missed the early evening rush.) They warn you that it takes time to prepare their from-scratch pizzas. They said the deep-dish could take 45 minutes (30 for thin crust). We opted for the fried calamari appetizer and a deep-dish pizza with half anchovies and half pepperoni. The calamari was tasty with a slightly tangy dipping sauce. The breading was crisp and the calamari was as fresh as you're like to get that far from althea shore. The pizza crust had a good crisp on the bottom and nice bread like edges with a lot of flavor. The sauce was applied generously and was equally tasty. The anchovies were much better quality than most places. You could taste the fish, not just the salt. Overall the food and the service was amazing. Thanks! P.S. We were enjoying the appetizer and conversation, so we didn't actually notice how long the pizza took. It didn't feel like 45 minutes.
