4 stars for flavor, 3 for service, feel it is our servers 1st server job , a little slow getting our food but worth the wait. Limited menu, and just opened. So they need to work the kinks out. So cut them slack. I think it will be come popular place. I had the chicken trio, sides we good, flavorful. Wife had the steak , Bastic I think, very flavorful tender, We will go back when they work everything out. Need attention to the wait staff, seemed overwhelmed but they were trying very hard. Can't wait for rest of the.menu Also that hard enchilada was a Flauta not an enchilada, know your food before you post
I understand this is the soft opening and I have high expectations that it will get better. However, chips and salsa are a staple that needs to be GREAT! Green sauce will work for those that love to burn their taste buds off. Red sauce needed flavor. Salt? Something? A little kick won't hurt.
I tried to research Northern Mexico food to see if I was missing something but didn't find enough info to determine whats missing. I know we all think about TexMex and this isn't it. Which is fine. But don't serve flavorless food. We ordered the El Presidente Parrillada for two. The meats were great. No complaints. However, the description that had our mouths watering was...Served over a generous amount of gooey, melted blend of Chihuahua and Monterrey Jack cheese, caramelized onions and peppers. No such gooey existed. My guess is the skillet was too hot and it fried. It hardened quickly rather than remaining gooey and generous!
Hostess was great and very proactive. Two of the waitresses took care of us for one reason or another and both did a good job. I would tell everyone. Chill out. Be yourself and enjoy your job for what it is...service to the community. We're all human. Some maybe less...but most will appreciate all your kindness while we're there.
Looking forward to coming back soon and seeing improvement. We need a place in this part of Arlington that can be our "go to" restaurant. Great Margaritas are a BONUS!! ????????
Giving 3 stars because it was the soft opening otherwise it would be 1. Will re review after a few months. Sat for 15+ minutes without drinks or even ever meeting out waitress. Family sat behind us got there 30 minutes after us but got their food 15 minutes before us. Food was decent but one of my wife's enchiladas came out ROCK hard. They replaced it with a new one that barely had filling.
