Southern Recipes Grill

It’s such a shame that I discovered this place just recently and not sooner. I heard from someone that the food is great and I should try it out. I said I love home cookin and I’ll try it out, and boy am I glad I did. Food is just fantastic and I’ve now found my favorite corn bread. It’s big like a loaf and taste so good. Southern Recipes Grill and Jay Jays are by far the best home cookin spots in Arlington, hands down. It’s now a once, sometimes twice a week staple for me.

Great food and great service. Best place to eat food like grandma used to make when you dont have time to make it yourself.

Let's face it, when they offer sliced tomatoes as a side there's really no more argument as to the validity of the name.

This is a great restaurant to go to when you're craving comfort food. They have everything you can think of that you remember your parents and grandparents cooking at home, like chicken fried steak, chicken noodle soup, steaks, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, etc. The food here is EXCELLENT! I could easily come here everyday for dinner and always have something different, yet just as delicious. The food was fresh and steaming hot. Even though this restaurant is in Arlington and I live in Abilene and I won't be able to eat there as often as I'd like to, I'll definitely come back at least every other month since that's how often I come to Dallas and Arlington, because it is so worth it! Our waitress was great and attentive without being annoying. I highly recommend this awesome restaurant if you're driving through Arlington. ????

If you want home made food from a restaurant..... This one is the number one choice. Great prices for the portions that they provide. You won't regret it!!! Food coma time!!!

Good food. Daily specials. Eclectic menu and all tasty. Wine, beer, mixed drinks. Attentive staff. Often crowded and sometimes noisy if you want to talk or have a program. Some more private areas—reserve in advance. Fun and different!
