This morning's breakfast was great. We were seated immediately (9:30am) by a window. My husband had Uncle Herschels Favorite and I had the Sunrise Sampler. Great food & our waitress was nice. I tried there new berry ice tea.....wow was it good!

Have to give them 5 stars. We went in very close to closing time. But all the staff from hostess to cashier were very polite, helpful, and had patience with us. Even though we came so late. I know they had to be tired and ready to go home. But they acted as if they just started their shift. The food was great hot and fresh. It was my husband's birthday and we went with family and friends. And they made our evening great. I know they probably won't see this review. But if by chance they do Thank You.

This is a lovely restaurant as I like the "old country store" vibe it provides. Upon entry, you have clothing, candles, & other unique items they sell that takes you back to your childhood. The restaurant side is spacious, & you can even play checkers along the aisles near your table. (such a cool activity for the kids while waiting for meal). Tried the pancakes, and they were great. A nice portion of biscuits & cornbread are provided complimentary for the table, & are delicious. My relative had catfish with mac n cheese & turnip greens, & she was surprisely impressed how seasoned everything was. I tasted the mac, & it was really good. Our waitress Christina was superb, as she did not miss a beat with about 8 people in our party. I would have given the rating higher, but it's a pet peeve to see food under tables from previous guest. Overall, you wont be disappointed based on the breakfast meals we had, & the fish dinner I tried.

I love this restaurant! The staff are always nice and courteous. The restaurant is always clean. We went for lunch on a Saturday and they were very busy. We had to wait for a little bit but we spent the time looking around the general store. The wait time flew by. If it hadn't been so cold outside we could have spent the time on the front porch rocking in the rocking chairs, but because it was cold they had the fireplace going with a beautiful fire. The food is amazing! The portions are enormous and very reasonably priced. Great place for family gatherings.
