Real Texas Cafe

I decided to give this place a try for the first time today and it was very, very good! I had the chicken fried steak and two sides, it also came with a roll and a side salad. All that for $9.99 at dinner time, very reasonable! Everything was very good and the staff was efficient and friendly! I plan to return often!

First time here and my husband and I loved it! They’re at 50% occupancy now, but once 100%, they’ll begin serving breakfast too! Their food looks and tastes authentic and REAL, just as their name says. He had turkey and dressing and I had chicken fried steak - large enough that I’m taking home chicken fried steak for both of us another meal! They have homemade desserts too, but haven’t tried those yet. Very friendly staff! If you like country cooking, you’ll love this place.

Chicken fried steak was great! They do real cream gravy, not with chicken stock like so many places do that ruins it. Everything tastes like homemade real cooking, and at a price you can't beat! Service is great as well. Don't forget dessert, even if you have to take it home! Please give them your business so they can start doing breakfast too, I heard there's a chance for that! I'm telling all my friends and anyone who will listen about this place!

I drove by and finally dining is open. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and pinto beans (cream gravy). A salad also came with the meal, and I had coffee, plus coconut cream pie for dessert.
This is a very good comfort food restaurant, and I wish them great success. It tops the two national comfort food chains that are nearby. What I am hoping they'll do is at some time add apple pie and pecan pie to the dessert menu and offer ice cream with them. That would be great. Maybe when this phony pandemic is over. To summarize, come by and check them out. Get out of the house! The friendly atmosphere and good food will help you feel better during this uneasy and sometimes depressing time.

I got the meatloaf off the lunch menu. Tastes just as great as it looks! Service was very good. Those tea glasses never emptied. During the Pandemic restrictions, they have a limited menu on dry erase boards.. One entree of your choice, 2 sides, salad and choice of bread. Food came out quickly, hot, and delicious! Staff were all very personable and friendly. Price very reasonable. This place should be a family favorite.. Great comfort food!
